KING'S FISH HOUSE

PICTURED (top to bottom): Restaurant, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken Quesadilla,  Seafood Cobb Salad (all shrimp-no scallops), Mexican Shrimp on a Skewer, King's Combo Platter.

Friday night we were looking for someplace close to eat, and decided on our local King's Fish House in Huntington Beach. We've always had good luck here with food, service and seating. We were seated at our favorite booth and our server was pleasant and accommodating.

We each ordered our favorite appetizers. Sweetie Pie had the Buffalo Chicken Wings-a generous portion in a great sauce (just spicy enough). Her mother ordered the Shrimp Cocktail-perfect as usual. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla-with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Yum! We finished everything and were ready to order our entrees. Sweetie Pie (still in salad mode) decided to try something new- the Seafood Cobb Salad, substituted with all shrimp/no scallops (she's not a scallop girl). The salad was beautiful, nice and fresh, and BIG! Her mother also tried something new- the Mexican Shrimp on a skewer. Two skewers, big shrimp, very nice! I stuck with my new favorite dish- the King's Combo Platter. Fried Fish, Shrimp and Scallops with French Fries and Cole Slaw. King's does it best. I love their coating.

Tonight's King's Fish House dinner gets three thumbs up from the 3 Tubby Tummys!
